About Music Together

Music Together is the pioneer in family-style early childhood music & movement education. It is an innovative, research-based program that has been an ongoing leader in assisting parents in sharing fun, accessible musical activities with their children, birth to five years old, since 1987.

Most of us are born with enough musical aptitude to play in a symphony orchestra, yet many adults cannot sing anything more than "Happy Birthday", much less play an instrument. This is due to lack of early experience, not genetics. In a lively but relaxed musical environment, children gain experience through the joy of musical play. Music Together classes are a way to promote a lifetime love of music in children, be part of a family-oriented musical community, and even for adults to reconnect with their own musical nature.

Most important is the fun and the family bonding! But there is more. Many parents do not have confidence in their own music making abilities, have no idea what to do or how to do it, and have even had negative feedback as children. Music Together provides confidence-building knowledge and lots of ideas for easy, fun activities that can be enjoyed at home. It is not necessary for parents to have wonderful singing voices or be able to play instruments, but it is absolutely necessary to find ways to share music with their children if they wish for them to grow up enjoying the benefits of a musically enriched life.
